PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide black-and-white reversal photosensitive material for photographing, high in sensitivity and superior in graininess, and capable of easily forming a monotone image by the color reversal development processing of a usual positive-positive system, by incorporating specified couplers. SOLUTION: This monotone type silver halide reversal photosensitive material contains the couplers which form yellow, magenta, cyan, and black dye images by coupling with the oxidation product of a color developing agent. The black coupler is embodied by m-aminophenol compounds and pyrazolone compounds and the like, and a black-and-white image can be obtained by using the black coupler or a mixture of yellow, magenta, and cyan couplers and further by using a mixture of red dye forming coupler and a blue dye forming coupler.
