Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil émetteur (1) comportant un modulateur numérique (2), ledit modulateur étant conçu pour délivrer en sortie un signal en-phase numérique et un signal en quadrature numérique. Le signal en-phase numérique est converti en un signal en-phase analogique puis traité sur un trajet (31) pour le signal en phase, et un signal en quadrature numérique est converti en un signal en quadrature analogique puis traité sur un trajet (34) pour le signal en quadrature. Ainsi, une discordance d'amplitude et de temporisation peut se produire sur le chemin. L'appareil émetteur (1) de la présente invention permet de mesurer la discordance d'amplitude et de temporisation. En outre, une unité de correction d'amplitude (43) est conçue pour corriger la discordance d'amplitude et une unité de temporisation (3) est conçue pour corriger la discordance de temporisation. D'autres affinements de la discordance d'amplitude et de temporisation peuvent être effectués au moyen d'un ou de plusieurs signaux d'essai prédéterminés générés par une unité de génération de signaux d'essai (30).
A transmitter apparatus (1) comprises a digital modulator (2), wherein the modulator is adapted to output a digital in-phase signal and a digital quadrature signal. The digital in-phase signal is converted to an analog in-phase signal and further processed in a path (31) for the in-phase signal, and a digital quadrature signal is converted in an analog quadrature signal and further processed in a path (34) for the quadrature signal. Thereby, an amplitude and delay mismatch in the path can occur. With the transmitter apparatus (1) of the invention the amplitude and delay mismatch can be measured. Further, an amplitude correction unit (43) is adapted for correcting the amplitude mismatch and a delay unit (3) is adapted to correct the delay mismatch. Further refinements of the amplitude and delay mismatch can be made with one or more predetermined test signals generated by a test signal generating unit (30).
